With apologies to ladies that do not possess this trait, one amusing aspect of his films is that he famously 'runs like a girl', with hands raised and flapping around as if his wrists are broken.

Rest assured that he has cured himself of this embarrassing quirk. By increasing his body mass 250%.

He now mainly sits or drives like a girl.

How did he get so huge? I mean, there's a man who is supposed to be doing serious martial arts all day.
You'd think he'd work some of it off.

He probably did. When he was married to Kelly LeBrock:

Talking of actors running - a friend always says that Pierce Brosnan runs like he's climbing up a ladder.

A school friend of mine who knew a lot of people in the film industry was on the set when Roger Moore was making a Bond film. He said that ol' Rog couldn't run properly - he flapped his hands about everywhere. This is why they had to use a body double for the scenes where he was running.

Now I know why I've been avoiding them. They look like utter tosh. The Action Hero character is a hard one to pull off [ooerr] for the older man. That's if you even like the genre in the first place.

I have vague memories of a Lee Van Cleef tv show from years ago when he was getting on a bit. I think he played a cop, but a bit of a hard nut & was called on to chase & grapple with villains. The action shots were clearly played by a man some 30 years younger to much hilarity.

There are quite a few old actors who play the part of a policeman or member of the armed forces, and it's abundantly clear that they are far too old for these roles. How believable is it when somebody clearly in their 60s or 70s turns up in a uniform and starts blasting away?

There is one post-Hollywood Steven Seagal film I like--admittedly in the so-bad-it's good way: Into The Sun.

I find myself unable to buy takoyaki without assuming a very non-PC Japanese accent and asking "Do you LIKE takoyaki?"

Executive Decision was a decent thriller (well, compared to others of its type). Steven Seagal doesn't seem too ridiculous in it, and doesn't outstay his welcome!

Sounds like The Master in which Mr Van Cleef played a Ninja! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Master_(TV_series)

Full episodes on Youtube. Here's a taster of Lee Van Cleef's martial art skills :)

I was at a cinema once in the early 90s watching a Steven Seagal movie. I've forgotten the name of the movie, but that's OK since I decided to never watch another Steven Seagal movie again.

I don't think I'd ever watch one of his films in a cinema. I'd be the only one there.

I was in a cinema once where the seats smelled of spunk and there was only one other person in the 1000 + seats apart from me and the Mrs .. it was in a less glamorous side of Norwich city, the woman who sold us the tickets didn't have a lovebite on her neck sadly but did laugh at me when I asked about any promotional posters, standees, stickers etc I could get hold of ... that's when I knew I'd picked the perfect venue to watch Evil Dead, the remake of The Evil Dead.

Woke up at five this morning to the sound of assorted loud bangs, pops and crackling sounds and, despite thick curtains my bedroom had a vivid orange glow.

I looked out and saw this scene

    1000437.jpg

It looks like it was just abandoned and set alight - and well alight, I could feel the heat through the window.
At least there were no charred corpses when the fire was put out.
