    I liked Peter Skellern.
A thing I didn't know...he wrote the lyrics to One More Kiss, Dear for the 1982 film Blade Runner.

Wrestler George "The Animal" Steele died today at 79. I don't follow wrestling, but I mention him because he was terrific as Tor Johnson in the film Ed Wood. Time for go to bed, George! RIP.

Just found out the prolific artist Alan Aldridge died, one of the most 1960s-looking artists ever, designed countless book covers. His Illustrated Beatles Lyrics book is much beloved of those of a certain age. RIP.

I had no idea of the story behind the (fake) name: that she lied in presenting her case, never actually had an abortion, became religious and later lamented her part in legalisation of the practice.

    Fascinating.

    So wonderful.

I remember discovering this around a friend's house when I was a very early teen. I'd also heard a bit about LSD. This book and that knowledge started a journey for me.

Yeah. A great, interesting broadcaster and a brave and funny man to the end. Very sad news.

    Poor Fanny.
Hope they didn't have kids. They would have been 'kiddy Fidlers'.
