I remember that one, though for years I had assumed it was a fever-dream from teething-problems!

A surprising number of episodes are on Youtube. I think I watched part of the pilot episode last year.

    The theme-tune should suffice! :yuck:

RIP Jerry, despite it all! :(

Peter Sutherland has died. Bilderberger, GATT/WTO DG, Chair Goldman Sachs, Chair BP. Opposed an Irish State Default on bank debts. Wanted even greater austerity. A Vampire Squid who was responsible for the deaths of millions and the immiseration of hundreds of millions through the WTO and Goldman-Sachs. He was supposedly concerned about refugees when in fact his actions and the policies he espoused created them.

Somehow this is still a shock despite his age. For people like me born in 1963, the Apollo astronauts were big people in our childhood. Now they are dying off at the rate of one per year (Mitchell in 2016, Cernan in 2017, now John Young) and as the youngest moonwalkers are now in their 80s it will happen more and more often until they are all gone.

And the day the last one dies will be a strange and poignant day for the world.

Very sorry to hear France Gall died, she had a tough few years in the second half of her life, but she remains a Ye-Ye icon. Her 1968 album is on CD if you're interested, it's a great work, her Sergeant Pepper. RIP.

I'm surprised no-one's mentioned the death of Peter Preston. A great man.

That was her Eurovision win, a Serge Gainsbourg song she recorded before she fell out with him after feeling he'd tricked her into singing smut in other songs (and she had a point!).

Respected American occultist, Thelemite and artist Nema (Andahadna) passed away in the early hours of this morning. Nema was a friend of Kenneth Grant and her occult work regarding the Ma'atian current featured in his Typhonian Trilogies (see Outside the Circles Of Time). She wrote the book Maat Magick: A Guide to Self-Initiation (1995) and in 1974 the magickal or channeled text, Liber Pennae Praenumbra. She also published the Cincinnati Journal of Ceremonial Magick.

That's the three of them gone.

There are many members of the Motörhead family still alive and kicking, but that's the classic line up accounted for.

No nonsense, no compromise or truck with corporate bullshit. Motörhead told you what they did and why, did it well, and then didn't mythologise about it later--an antidote to most of the modern music industry.

    Vale, Lads!
