    If you go to the Burning Man festival and look across the playa you can see the curvature of the earth. You can also see the curvature driving across Interstate 80 between Elko, NV and Salt Lake City, UT crossing the Bonneville Salt Flats. (gawd-- that is a desolate stretch of highway.)

    Really? Am very glad to hear that, though. It looks so wonderfully craft-worked. Not a shred of automation (well, the printed surface segments).

    I take it we all know that the world doesn't really look like the way it's represented on maps & globes?
